I heard Susie Morrow speak at the Warrington Cyclenation conference and was very impressed both at the concept and the results. I am going to suggest we try it with our local movers and shakers in Oxford

Your 'Movers and Shakers' initiative is certainly a good idea.

This project is a great idea which can so easily be replicated elsewhere. Lambeth Cyclists are in the position of having a very supportive Council and so are currently trying to see if we would be able to run a similar project but working more closely with our Council contacts.

Hi,
I'm a Police Sergeant based at Trinity Road Police Station. I lead the Safer neighbourhood Team who Police the ward of Balham. I have a team of two Constables and four Police Community Support Officers. I am the Borough's police cycle trainer. You will probably see both Police Officers and Support Officers patrolling the Borough on mountain bikes. I think this is a very effective way of providing a visible Police patrol and we often get to incidents quicker than cars !! We currently have 20 mountain bikes for the Borough, one for each ward. Please e-mail me should you have any questions about Poilce on bikes.

I'm impressed by the project and the website and will be telling friends about both, as well as dusting my bicycle.

Sorry to miss your bash last night. I was trying to persuade the Council to see sense re the Museum et al. Not much chance there! At least at present.

Pleased that your project has gone well and now that the days are longer and drier let's get back on our bikes!
